The Ketlang Red Poll stud is a small stud situated at Lang Lang 85 kilometres south east of Melbourne.

The stud was founded in 1984 with the purchase of seven females from the Aljerer stud of John Dyson-Holland and a bull from Ross Draper's Red Cactus stud. Further additions came from Trevilla, Oakwood and Netherlea. Since the stud was established, cattle have been purchased from eighteen different studs from five different states.

Artificial insemination is used most years over a group of cows and the stud is a member of Breedplan.

Ketlang cattle have been shown at Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra Royal Shows with some success, but raising a young family has slowed our show activity. Ketlang has also had success at carcass competitions, winning the local trade vealer on the hook at Lang Lang and Korumburra shows, and being placed second and third at Berwick show.

Select breeding stock are usually sold at the Northern Rivers Breeders and Whittlesea annual sales. Enquires are always welcome.
